Third Grade

Not sure what happened to some of you, but we had our planning meeting this morning and decided on the activities for the party. I will purchase everything from oriental trading company, get reimbursed through PTA and then when it comes in we will divide it all up for each classroom.  You can each run your own party how you would like (stations or all at the same time) My class will be doing everything together as our teacher stated that would be best for our group of kids. Below you will see the timeline/layout that I plan to do for my party if you want to follow it. 
 
Snack - PTA will provide (water and they haven't decided on the snack yet)
    if popcorn then we will be making a snowman cup for them to put their popcorn in

Craft - A tissue paper snowman

Game - Winter Pictionary using the smartboards (I will have it all ready for everyone when we distribute all the other items)
        have a bowl with words in it, one child at a time draw the word and the other kids in their team tries to guess it
 
Then extras if you have extra free time - coloring sheets ( you will need to print and bring with) NO holiday themed just winter (snowman, penguin, polar bear, igloo, etc)
    or Freeze Dance
 
 
If you have not sent your introduction letter to your classroom you need to do so this week so that you can start getting helpers. If you have any questions please contact me or Latrice. 
 
My timeline/layout:
We will all decorate the cups for our snack (we will have it all laid out at each desk when they come in) should take about 5-6 mins, then we will start the Winter Pictionary (while we are playing it the moms will walk around and fill each child's cup with popcorn and hand our their water) About 25 mins
Each child will have 1 min for the other kids to guess the answer (we will have two teams, just cut the class in half down the middle or by table)Have the kids keep trying to draw until it is guessed or the timer is done.
Then we will do our Tissue Paper Snowman craft - about 10-15 mins
Clean up and if time they can color or play freeze dance - any extra time
